Hello, Thanks for the query. Everyone of us has thyroid gland. In some it is either over active causing hyperthyroidism or underactive causing Hypothyroidism. It appears she has underactive gland. When on treatment with adequate amount of Levothyroxine, TSH is well controlled and maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L At this level all the symptoms are in check. So please see that her TSH is maintained in that range. Thanks. Another aspect if you are looking for a baby, then TSH should be even lower around 2 mU/L. Thanks.

TSH 5.46 is still high and if she is on thyroid supplement increase the dose and if not then start after consulting a Physician. Weight control reqires low calory low fat high fibre diet and regular exercise.
