Hi, My uncle is suffering from seasonal depression since a very long tine. For 6 months he becomes very active spends like a king occur losses and other stuff and for the other 6 months he just sleeps and be inside the house. And also he is not ready to accept it n go to a doctor.

Respected Sir, From the symptoms that you have mentioned, I would suspect that your uncle might be suffering from a Bipolar Disorder rather than a seasonal depression but I can say for sure as you have mentioned very few symptoms. Unfortunately for you, its very difficult to treat Bipolar disorder through counselling and he would need some medicines or mood stabilizers. This can only be prescribed after he is evaluated in detail and the diagnosis is confirmed by a psychiatrist. So, my advice would be to get him to a psychiatrist at the earliest by using any excuse. It would be better to do so when he is having those depressive symptoms rather than when he is spending like a king which seems to suggest manic symptoms as he would be less irritable and more amenable to suggestions during the depressive phase.
