I am thyroid patient taking 50 mcg thyronorm. My recent t3 level is 137, t4 is 6.99 and tsh 3rd generation is .625. Can I stop capsule?

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Your tsh is 0.625 mu/l is that correct? If that is the level, that means it is a bit lower than usually expected. You might have seen the range mentioned in your report which is usually 0.5 to 5 mu/l or upper limit may be 4.5 mu/l. This defers with each labs standardisation. Another aspect you have not mentioned the units as well as whether t3 & t3 are total or free. Also please let me know if you have any symptoms in connection with this condition. Dear ajit, if you were diagnosed to have primary hypothyroidism you need to ocntinue thyronorm lifelong with periodic monitoring of tsh to ensure that it is in the normal range. If you stop the tablet you will again develop hypothyroidism with symptoms
