The good nutrition that you give to your body will eventually come out in the form of breast milk and go to your child and creates healthy baby .so you should eat 500cal more than what you eat generally. For healthy yourself and healthy baby ? have small frequent meal - for every 2 hours, because if gap created b/w meal, lots of gas gets accumulated and causes acidity. ?drink 10 glasses of water in a day (minimum), the more water you drink the better will be your milk supply. ?take 3-4 glasses of milk or milk products in any form ?add 2 small bowels of pulses to your diet daily. ?add 2 catories of green leafy vegetables to your diet ?add 3-4 servings of fruits every day (prefer seasonal fruits) ?add fruits that are rich in vitamin c - they improve the iron absorption and fiber content in it will avoid the constipation and avoids pressure on your abdomen don'ts:- ?stop smoking and alcohol during breast feeding period ?very important: avoid medicines as much as possible, because through breast milk these medicines effects the healthy baby, istead depend on home remedies.?avoid spicy and cold food ? avoid strong flowered food and vegetables like garlic, onion, cabbage, cauliflower and anything that produces gas. So avoid all of these because your baby is very close to you and sometimes these smells irritates your baby at that time you can't even figure out what is happening to your baby so keep your body and mind healthy.
