I am type 2 diabetic patient since 2014 previously taking medicine glimepiride 2 mg, pioglitazone hcl 15 mg, metformin hcl 1000 mg but when it was banned by govt. Doctor prescribed me glimepiride 3 mg and metformin hcl 1000 mg but it is not working as my blood sugar fasting comes to 453 today.

Yes its obvious it’s not giving desired results. Since when you are on these medicines.You need to change the medicines and probably start on insulin

Hi, pioglitazone is not commonly prescribed for diabetes but one thing, sugars are not under good control, will require add on agents like gliptins and will be better to start insulin at the earliest.

It seems that the diet also is not being followed. Please follow strict diet and exercise. Continue current medicines and add tab olymprix 20 mg one after breakfast and tab pioz 15 mg one after dinner. Check blood sugars after 10 days and consult your doctor.
