Not conceiving from last 2 years. Having thyroid, my tsh is 10.930, doctor advised me to take 100 mcg of thyronorm, I have also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes my insulin after pp is 57.30, for this they advised me to take glyciphage sr 500 for one week and 1000sr for 3 months. For morning and evening with breakfast and dinner. But after having the medicine my chest pains badly. So please guide me should I continue this medicine or not.

Lybrate-User ji, thanks for the query. Madam, I have seen the details, I request you to clarify following points: after starting 100 mcg of levothyroxine, have you checked the tsh level? If yes, what is it? As reards presence of diabetes, please let me know current fasting, pp glucose levels & hba1c%. Ideally fbg < 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% < 6.8%. This in nonpregnant state. Once pregnancy occurs then all through out the day glucose has to be maintained between 90 to 120 mg / 100 ml. Plus in pregnancy only insulin is the drug. For conception tsh has to be maintained < 2.5 mu/l. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
