Dear Lybrate User, As per your statement you have suffered from mild jaundice (<2.5), one month back and now recovered. You can do some physical activity. Go on increase the intensity slowly, that is starting 1-2 week mild exercise, increased to moderate exercise after 2 weeks. Severe form of exercise can be done after proper conditioning. Most important for you is to AVOID ANY EPISODE OF DEHYDRATION. Take plenty of fulid and water, avoid refined sugar, oily foods, junk food etc. If should you take balanced diet, as and when you increase the intensity of exeecise you may need protein powder. But suggestion is to GO GRADUALLY GRADUALLY GRADUALLY.

For people who have recovered from jaundice, usually we suggest at least 1-2 months of rest before attempting any heavy work. I understand your fear and your concern towards your health and I appreciate it. You may start going to Gym after gaining your past weight and until your appetite is normal. Do not strain your liver by taking protein shakes. But instead you can take eggs and go. Do not start with heavy weights Even during and soon after the recovery period you should stick to a diet comprising largely of fruits and leafy vegetables. Pulses and legumes can also be gradually introduced into your diet. Alcohol and fatty or oily foods, including butter, cream and all junk foods must be avoided completely. Your liver has great regenerative capabilities, provided you receive the required nourishment for more queries, contact us.
