What is difference between Telma AM and Giftan HC? My wife 54 years is suffering from high BP, DIABETES,Hyper Thyroid .For BP she was taking in previous Giftan HC but now she is taking Telma AM and she is feeling side effects of Telma. Can she start again Giftan HC?

Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Telmisartan plus Amlodepine (TELMA AM) is a good and safe combination. The other tablet mentioned is Losartan + Hydrochlothiazide. That too is good. Doctor must have changed to newer drug for getting better control. But if she is not comfortable with that, she can take the earlier combination. Thanks.
