psychiatrist diagnosed me somatic depression how I can cure it naturally. There is stiffness in back and tightness in chest. Head remains heavy and I can not concentrate on anything gets frustrated. Please advise

Stop smoking and Alcohol Have regular exercise like walking swimming cycling jogging with friends for one hour Holidays once in a week Nexito 10 mg twice daily Yoga Take fish and vegetables.

Dear lybrate-user, I can see that you seem to be in a lot of distress due to your symptoms. Depression is a treatable mental health problem .The treatment consists of behavioural and lifestyle modification, therapy and medication. There are certain simple things that you can do which has evidence that it helps in depression: -Regular exercise or walks (try to do at least 3 times a week)-Engage in a hobby. -Eat a healthy, well balanced meal -Yoga or Meditation can help you relax -Never keep you feelings bottled up. It is important that you communicate about how you feel with your friends or relatives. There are talking therapies available which are effective in depression. I would also recommend that you discuss with your psychiatrist regarding the medications available as antidepressant are extremely safe and effective in depression. Please do not hesitate to contact your psychiatrist urgently if you are suffering from one or more of the below mentioned symptoms for more than 2 weeks You feel depressed or low for most of the time during the day:-Have lost interest in things you used to enjoy earlier -Feel hopeless about future -Feel that life is not worth living and have thoughts of ending your life.
