I'm 47 year old male, my BP readings are 125/90, physician prescribed me zolohart 40 mg tablet, should I start on BP medicine or can I manage by diet & exercise. My weight is 99 kgs and my height is 5.11. I walk 5 kms in 1 hour thrice a week. I'm not diabetic. Please advice.

At a reading of 125 / 90 mm Hg, you need not start anti-hypertensive treatment. You can definitely try a lifestyle change for next 3 to 6 months, like regular exercise over 1 hour, restricted diet based on your ideal body weight (80 kgs), salt restriction and avoiding smoking and alcohol.
