If I had taken 50 mg tab for thyroid then I should take 75 mg as my thyroid is 10.55 or should I take higher dose previously when I was taking 50 mg tab my tsh was 4.55.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is necessary to maintain TSH between 3 to 4 mU/L to be free from all the symptoms of hypothyroidism, hence the dose needs to be increased. You may increase by 12.5 mcg, then check TSH after 6 to 8 weeks if the level has not come down as explained, then dosage can be further increased by 12.5 mcg. Thanks.
