Dear Lybrate User, A deviated nasal septum can cause a lot of problems. It may start off from simple snoring to more complicated Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), during which a patient wakes up from his sleep and gasps for breath and fresh air. It's a very serious medical condition and calls for immediate sleep medicine studies and surgical intervention. In advanced cases, a device called CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) can be prescribed by a specialist doctor. As concerns the bad breath, it could be because of your existing condition or there could be a number of other reasons like sinusitis, bad stomach, upper respiratory tract infection, coated tongue, decayed teeth etc. You must visit a dentist immediately to get the underlying cause investigated. Be well!

Consume water frequently for every 2 hours, rinse your mouth after having food and check the outcome in a month. And do visit your dentist for regular check up.

Deviated nasal septum is the most common. One should wait for the surgery until necessary. In my view mouth breathers rarely have bad smell. But still you can try mouthwash with a diluted betaine solution, use tongue scrapper, and also go for scaling. I hope the results are gonna be positive.
