Any diabetes must and can easily be kept under control. Proper regular monitoring and follow up under supervision of Physician and a diabetologist is necessary. Annual check up for detection of Diabetes complication is also necessary. At present there is no scientific cure for diabetes. Control is the best approach.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Diabetes particularly T1 occurs due to absolute absence of Insulin secretion form your Islets of Langerhans gland in Pancreas. Since there is no insulin production, it has to be supplied from outside for blood glucose control as well as for survival of the patient. This disease can only be controlled that too by taking Insulin regularly. THERE IS NO CURE. Similarly Hypothyroidism is also a hormone deficiency disease, hence that also can only be controlled, there is no cure in that too. Another important aspect to be free from all the symptoms of hypothyroidism you will have to maintain TSH levels between 3 to 4 mU/L. Thanks.
