I do have thyroid. My T4 level is 0.71ng/100 ml Tsh is 56.1 micro IU/ml Anti TPO level is >1000 IU/ml I am currently taking 100 eltroxin Do I need to takd any more medicine or steroid?

Mr. lybrate-user, You seem to have very severe hypothyroidism due Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. (HT). Hence the current dose is very inadequate. It has to go up considerably. Please note when on treatment TSH levels should come to 3 to 4 mU/L to have relief from symptoms. Even Anti - TPO Abs also should be brought down. That happens once your TSH level is in the normal range. After increasing the dosage TSH should be checked after 6 weeks to see if there is desired change. Thanks.

please do not add more dose or medicines unless screened for the following: When were you diagnosed for thyroid? Since when are you on eltroxin? Wud be better if you weight n height? As thyroid dose is based on above parameters, it would help for you to avoid foods like cabbage cauliflower brocoli soya jowar n bajra ; as well as chinese salt n chinese foods. please let me know abt the details needed n n also test for haemoglobin, lipid profile and serum calcium too n consult on private chat for the right diet n supplements.
