Hi lybrate-user, I agree with your doctors later diagnosis where he is suggesting you to stop taking oral hypoglycemics. You are in all certainty suffering from Gestational Diabetes and in Pregnancy TSH is usually increased as the pregnancy progresses. So if the sugar is controlled and the HbA1C is maintained oral hypoglycemics should be stopped. Once the sugar level returns to normal after oral hypoglycemics are stopped the TSH should also increase. For more details so visit your Endocrinologist / Gyanecologist or consult me online.

Thanks for the query. WIth a complicated condition you should have visited a competant endocrinologist right in the beginning. Because Neomercazole is not given during the first few weeks of pregnancy. For Hyperthyroidism if therre is a need Propylthyuracil is given. Please follow the advice of the new doctor. See that you glucose levels are maintained between 90 to 120 mg through out the day. Thanks.
