Dear Lybrateuser, - He should take precaution regarding diet & exercise, reduce stress, be regular in checkups & taking medicines - in diet have more of fibrous foods like fruits (excluding cheeku, mango, banana, grapes which are high in sugars), vegetables, whole grains, beans, lentils, sprouts, low fat milk & milk products, lean meats, nuts - avoid fried, processed & junk foods, sugar, salt - have snacks in between meals if you feel hungry - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming for 30-40 min on most days of the week, also do moderate weight lifting at least twice a week, also do yoga, deep breathing for 1-5 min daily - try to reduce weight watch out for signs of high & low blood sugar - sleep well for 7-8 hrs in the night as disturbed sleep causes disturbed sugar levels.
