"you can very well consult your current doctor or diabetologist or cardiologist" there are three things on which you need to pay attention:- 1. Rule out low blood sugar ie hypoglycemia. Best time is to check when ever your father feels any kind of uneasiness. Check his hba1c. If it's less than 7, diabetic medicine needs to be addressed. Set hba1c goal around 7 to 8, and this is in accordance with his age of your father. 2. Rule out postural hypotension. Your doctor will know how to address this problem. Other wise, consult a cardiologist and rule out cardiac autonomic neuropathy. 3. Most important thing it's to rule out hyperkalemia. Get check his serum potassium on immediate basis. His blood pressure medicine needs to be addressed on urgent basis. Take care and let me know whether the the issue is solved or not.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have read the details mentioned. However, the information given is very general. There is absolutely no information on fasting, PP glucose HbA1c%, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, BP readings, lipid profile, serum creatinine & urea. Another important aspect is it is necessary to check blood glucose at the particular time when has those symptoms like hunger or dizziness. Therefore, based what is written it is difficult to give any specific guidelines. However, it is better to consult your diabetologist who has been treating him all these years. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
