I am 47 years old male .suffering from hypertension since last 10 years last year 2019 august l had gone through echo 2d n tmt test my tmt was negative but irregular heart beat, I also have concentric lvh n taking metocard xl 12.5 twice a day as i was feeling shortness of breath from few days and my systolic bp remains normal but diastolic bp goes high 85 -97 with small activity so I had test my thyroid, renal function ,and sugar ,every thing is normal but my hdl level is low 31.6 ,ldl 98.08 triglyceride 91.6 and total cholesterol serum 148 .please advice me what I suppose to do.

Hi lybrate-user what I could summarise from your clinical details narrated by you, you are long-standing hypertensive with concentric lvh and you have started experiencing breathlessness on exertion with predominantly higher level of diastolic bp I would be interested to know your echo findings which can tell me diastolic dysfunction of heart if any. Also would be in better position to guide you if you can provide me with your bp readings for consecutive 3 days if there is evidence of diastolic dysfunction based on severity you may need to receive certain modifications in your ongoing treatment.
