Kindly get your hba1c report done. You should also get your kidney function tests and lipid profile done if not done in the last 12 months. The blood glucose readings look on the higher side so you will require a change in your medications.

Mr Dinesh, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. The glucose levels given are too high, showing uncontrolled diabetes. That means present treatment is too inadequate. There is a need for upgrading the same. Ideally in a well controlled diabetic patient fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c%(not mentioned) <6.5%. To suggest any change or additional drug or drugs, I need to know following : Weight, height, extent of daily exercise, dietary pattern, HbA1c%. lipid profile, serum creatinine and urea. Therefore, if you come back with these details preferably in a private conversation I will be able to give specific guidance and even prescribe necessary drugs. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guidelines. No drugs can be recommended. Thanks.
