Can a transabdominal ultrasound w/a full bladder detect ovarian cancer? I had a transabdominal ultrasound and the results came back normal aside from a very small (to the point of being questionable) uterine fibroid. I drank so much water that the ultrasound technician said my bladder was the size of a basketball, and I could barely move without pain, so I had to empty my bladder a lot while still leaving it full enough to complete the ultrasound testing. I'm 27 years old, Autistic, female, and I'm a virgin aside from occasional clitoral masturbation. I'm terrified of anything going inside, so I've never had any internal type of exams. Is a transabdominal ultrasound and blood work to check my hormones (which also turned out fine) enough to rule out ovarian cancer and other reproductive cancers and diseases?
