Bladder cancer is one of the most common types of cancer and occurs because of the excessive growth of bladder cells. Blood in the urine is a common symptom of this type of cancer and turns the urine into a pink or dark red color. The detection of blood in the urine is one of the main reason why bladder cancer can be easily diagnosed and treated at an early stage. Other symptoms are- the need to urinate more, a burning sensation or pain while urinating, the constant urge to urinate even when the bladder is empty and developing a urinary tract infection or bladder stones. This form of cancer is of two types, non-invasive and invasive.
