IHC NSE with interpretation Test

IHC NSE with interpretation Test

In diagnosis, various disease immunohistochemical techniques is used and it has increased the dimensions of determining disease. Coins et al was the first person to conceptualize the immunohistochemical analysis which is also known as IHC-NSE with interpretation. There has been wide expansion in this field and now IHC is used in the various medical fields. There are lots of commercially evolved antibodies. The scope of the immunohistochemical diagnostic method is fast growing up with the exhaustions of cellular marker and antibodies. Use of classical antigens has been limited with the use of IHC NSE with interpretation test.

The sample of IHC is little difficult to obtain than the urine or blood sample as it is directly related to the cause of central nervous system. Spinal tap or lumbar puncture is the method used by the lab technician to collect the sample of cerebrospinal fluid from the lower back of the patient. Three or more separate sample of fluid is required for the multiple tests to be run on different samples. The person being tested should have their bladder and bowels completely emptied prior to the sample collection. It is necessary to lie still in fetal position during the collection of the fluid and to lie flat and still for a time period after the collection of the fluid.

The main use of IHC NSE with interpretation is in diagnosing many skin disorders. IHC is also recommended and used for targeted cancer therapy. The other uses of this analysis are detection of abnormal cells which is the root cause in various malignant tumors, especially lymphoma and melanoma. One of the major advantages of IHC NSE with interpretation analysis is that it is very useful in diagnosing skin tumors. The main sample used in the analysis is formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue.

The immunohistochemical analysis with interpretation is usually performed on formalin fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. An immediate tissue is recommended in this analysis as it ensures the adequate preservation of the cellular structure. The antigens used for the analysis cannot be preserved in chemically fixed tissue and it requires rapid freezing in liquid nitrogen. After the preservation of liquid nitrogen, it is followed by cryostat sectioning and then it is fixed in acetone or alcohol. The antigens are localized using the several techniques also.

NSE is not a screening test. Results for this test are for research purposes only by the assay's manufacturer. The performance characteristics of this product have not been established. Results should not be used as a diagnostic procedure without confirmation of the diagnosis by another medically established diagnostic product or procedure.
