Lonazep belongs to a class of medications known as benzodiazepines. It can be used in short term relief of panic disorder but long term use causes dependence. Best to go on a treatment regime of phased reduction at the rate of 5% every 2 weeks whilst being monitored by the psychiatrist for withdrawal symptoms and management accordingly.
