Hello, Thanks for the query. Managing T1 diabetes in a 11 year old is always tough. To maintain near normal glucose levels without getting severe hypos is the most difficult part of the treatment. This needs a lot of cooperation between treating doctor, patient and parents of the kid. There may be appropriate adjustment of Insulin dosage and food intake. This is a difficult situation to manage online. You need to follow the treating doctors every single instruction. Another aspect is using Insulin Pumps. There such devices available on rent. Can be very beficial in achieving better glucose. Thanks.
