Hi while green tea has many benefits it may not be great for patients with hypthyroidism. Studies have shown that green tea has high fluoride content which can affect thyroid hormone production. So it would be in the beat interest to limit intake of green tea.
Hello, Green tea is not good for hypothyroidism. Tk, care.
lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. Green tea is fine, there is no problem at all. But it is very essential to maintain TSH levels around 3 to 4 mU/L to be free from symptoms of hypothyroidism. Thanks.
