lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. When one is on treatment for hypothyroidism with adequate dosage of Levothyroxine, TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. At that level all the symptoms are in check. Plus efforts to reduce weight also become successful. With 7.8 mU/L TSH, you need to increase the dosage of Thyroxine and see that TSH level is maintained as mentioned above. There is no cure for hypothyroidism. It needs thyroxine supplement through out the life. Thanks.
