Hi, I am getting High BP from last 1 month 140/100. Total cholesterol is 208. What should I do?

Your BP is high, but at present you should begin with lifestyle changes & diet modifications. Start exercise like brisk walking, swimming, jogging everyday for 45 mins, quit smoking & drinking, try to get proper restful 8 hrs of sleep, do yoga for stress management, reduce your daily caffeine intake, reduce high salt containing foods like chips, sauces, namkeens, chutneys, pickles, fried food, fast food etc and take a detailed diet consult for a healthy heart diet. After 6 weeks of these precautions check your BP again if still high you may need medication. Also get a TMT and ECho done.
