I was diagnosed with UTI with multi drug resistant bacteria which is resistant to all antibiotic but nitro fur antibiotic. My Uro doctor gave me Nitrofurantoin 100 mg to be taken every 6 hours and asked to get admitted immediately if I get fever or nausea. It?s been 5 days, I am taking the meds. I did not get nausea or fever but burning while peeing is as it is. Next visit to Uro is after 10 days. How can I know for sure if meds are working? Apart from this I am taking raw garlic, yogurt and cranberry juice daily.
