Hello Dr. My question is for Psychiatrist drs. If we taken out the ratio out of 10 people who are suffering from major depression then how many out of 10 successfully over comes depression disorder and what is the common duration after starting medicines it takes to cure it completely? (?10).

9 out of 10 come out successfully . But the duration of recovery varies from 4 weeks upto 12 weeks in most cases, few will take longer depending on the episode number and response to drugs. It also depends if the major depression is a depressive episode or chronic persistent depression. In case of chronic persistent depression , medications have to be taken continuously . All the best
