Hello doctor, My husband is suffering from fever 102, and also have headache indigestion, cold. He is 31 year old. When he takes paracetamol tab. He feels fever is low and after 2 or 3 hours he suffers again high fever. Is it the sign of malaria or anything else? Pls reply.

Hi lybrate-user. First of all no one can tell it is malaria until we have a positive blood test saying that. So first get the blood test. Like CBC, MP. Second. For your information Paracetamol just brings down the temperature for few hours and never cures. It. To cure it you will have to take specific medicines. And my personal advise to you is not take any such medicines without consultation of the doctor. As simple paracetamol can damage your liver and you won't even know it. So better consult with details.
