Pid 400 MG Tablet is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. It works as an antibiotic by stopping the growth of bacteria and also killing it. It is used to treat infections such as bronchitis ( infection of the air tubes to the lungs), gonorrhea ( a sexually transmitted disease) and infections of ear, throat, tonsils etc. Pid 400 MG Tablet only treats bacterial infections and doesn’t work for viral infections like flu. This medication comes in the form of chewable tablets and capsules.

Pid 400 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of gonococcal infection which is a sexually transmitted bacterial infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
Pid 400 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of infections of the urinary tract caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
Pid 400 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia which is a common type of lung infection caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Haemophilus influenzae.

Bone and joint infections

Pid 400 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of bone and joint infections like septic arthritis and osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococci and Streptococci species.

Skin and structure Infection

Pid 400 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of Skin and structure infection like cellulitis, wound infection and cutaneous abscess caused by Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus.
Avoid if the patient has a known allergy to Pid 400 MG Tablet or any other Beta-lactam antibiotics like penicillins and cephalosporins.

Lidocaine

Pid 400 MG Tablet is contraindicated if Lidocaine is used as a solvent for intravenous injection. Lidocaine can be used as a slovent for Intramuscular injection excluding contraindications.

Calcium-containing products

Pid 400 MG Tablet is contraindicated in neonates who are on calcium-containing intravenous solutions or infusions such as parenteral nutrition because of the risk of precipitation of Pid 400 MG Tablet and calcium.
