About Hifenac 100 MG Tablet

Hifenac 100 mg is a tablet that helps in the treatment of painful rheumatic conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and spondylitis. The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) works by blocking the effect of cyclo-oxygenase enzymes (COX).

These enzymes are responsible for making chemical prostaglandins, at sites of injury, which results in inflammation, pain, swelling and damage. The medicine heals the pain and helps reduce the inflammation.

The side effects of Hilfenac P tablet includes diarrhoea, stomach pain, nausea, constipation, vomiting, skin rashes and so on. Though these side effects are mild in nature, you must consult a doctor if -

  • You are allergic to this drug or other anti-inflammatory painkillers.
  • You ever had a problem with stomach or duodenal bleeding.
  • You have a heart condition or impaired kidney or liver function.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding woman.
  • You have high blood pressure or blood clotting problems.

You must avoid the medication if you are a pregnant women or a nursing mother. The medication can affect the growth of the child in both cases. Consuming alcohol while on medication is not suitable and you must stop the consumption during this period.
