Dear doctors recently I have done full body health check up and in that ldl cholesterol was little high and as I was already taking atr-f tablets. But in that report liver test shows as gamma gt (ggtp) is 258.7. As I will consume alcohol in weekends and I am a smoker too. So please guide me on this as the bilirubin levels are normal. What I have to follow and what medicine I have to take. Tia.

Dear lybrate-user your levels are quite high (normal 65-70). These levels can put you at risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes and of course serious liver disease. Also you smoke. I am sorry to see you are not at all concerned about your health. You must reduce alcohol and smoking and gradually give it up before the damage is irreversible. No medicine will be able to help you at that time. Also, before suggesting any medication, it will b good if you can do a cbc, kft and an abdominal ultrasound. Take care take charge of your health.
