I am 65 years and a type 2 diabetic since last 20 years medicine taking at bf glimeride 2 mg+metformin 500 mg +voglibose 0.2 mg and at dinner vildagliptin 50 mg +metformin 500 mg but since last 15 days my sugar fasting 95-105, random 150 -180, pp -285-295 (with glucometer) pls advise suitable treatment also help me to control sugar with minimal drugs.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details. Your PP and random levels of glucose are quite high. It appears that present treatment is not helping in proper control of glucose. There is a need to look at overall treatment which include present drugs, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, serum creatinine, urea, lipid profile, BP readings & HbA1c%. So please come back with all the specific information, so that I will be able to give specific advice. Your dosage needs to be adjusted sir you have to take some diabetic drug at lunch also to bring down the post lunch sugar kindly consult your diabetologist or else you can consult me. Sugars should b controlled to prevent diabetic related complications.
