Dear Lybrate user, - blood pressure if mildly raised can be controlled by dietary precautions, doing regular exercise, proper uninterrupted sleep at night & keeping stress levels low - avoid fried & junk foods, also reduce tea, coffee intake to 1-2 cups if you have more, have a salt restricted diet, avoid namkeens, papads & pickles, also alcohol & smoking if you do - have more of fruits, vegetables & whole grains instead of refined ones - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming & cycling for 15-20 min - sleep well for at least 7-8 hrs at night, keep your sleep and wake up time fixed - reduce your stress levels by doing yoga, meditation and deep breathing or listening to music or following any hobby - monitor your bp, if not much change the consult a doctor as you may require medication to lower the level.
