lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. TSH > 160 mU/L is abnormally high, suggesting there no thyroxine secretion from thyroid gland. This needs Levothyroxine supplement in adequate dosage. With tratment TSH should be ideally maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. Plus this being a hormone deficiency disease, supplementation has to be continued. There is no cure for this condition. If not properly treated it leads to weight increase, swelling of the face, legs, dry skin, dry hair and hair fall, menstrual disturbances, infertility, anxiety and depressive tendency etc. If you have any doubts please do come back. Or else consult your local doctor and initiate the necessary treatment. Thanks.
