I am 28 years old girl. I have diagnosed with TB although I had never smoked. I am eating medicine regularly but have few doubts. I will be glad if you can answer me otherwise I will be depressed like always: 1. Once I will complete my medication, is there any after effects of this disease or medicine? 2. Will it impact on pregnancy/child if I will plan later after curing? 3. I have only 1 day bleeding in menstruations from 1-2 years. Can you suggest what should I do? Regards.

Miss lybrate-user, It all depends upon your immunity. If your immunity is good you can fight every disease easily. Immunity depends upon good mental and physical health. Smoking is one of reason for low immunity. Generally TB medications affect our liver. So take care of liver by taking liver protecting drugs. Secondly your diet should be nutritious enough to avoid any side effects of the disease and drugs. Take plenty of liquids including milk daily. You have safe pregnancy after completing the course. Regarding menstruation problem you should consult the gynecologist. Anaemia is one of the reason for scanty menses.
