My mother (58+ Y) is currently under treatment for Hypothyroidism (Eltroxin 50 mcg) & Hypertension (Olmezest 20 mg). During last 3-4 days she had got a fever of 100-101 F. Yesterday the doctor examined her & provided the necessary antibiotic. However, her pulse is a little high (102) although the BP (130/80) seems fine. Is this increase in pulse caused by fever or, is this sign of a heart issue? Usually her pulse remains within 72-82 bpm.
