Hi. Thankyou for the query. Ideally any meal should be planned into a diabetic diet depending on all parameters. You can take two cups of coffee if you have no other medical condition that calls for avoidance. Avoid coffee empty stomach. Plan it with your breakfast or snack. Sugar in coffee can be advised only after knowing your history and blood sugar levels.

Hi Coffee has caffeine which is an energy booster and has antioxidant property. Some studies have shown that they are good at reducing risk of type 2 Diabetes in non diabetic but some studies say it impairs insulin sensitivity which is not good for diabetics. To follow a safe diet I suggest you drink 1 or 2 cups of coffee a day. but prefer green tea over it. Either of them WITHOUT SUGAR to get more benefits.

Take coffee as a beverage and according to you choice. Having Coffee twice a day would be enough. Keep checking you blood sugar levels and go for regular follow up with your doctor. If you have a disciplined habit of diet, exercise and rest then you will not require any thing special to do to keep your self fit and healthy.
