Dear Sir/Maam My grandma is suffering from hip fracture. She is 76 years old. She is admitted in dispur hospital guwahati now. On being a biopsy test prescribed by doctor here she has been found with lungs cancer advance stage. Now doctors are not able to operate her fracture area due to her sugar and sodium imbalance. I can share the reports if you wish. She is in hospital for 10 days now. We are very confused what to do. Anaesthesia doctor says she may or may not survive at the operation theatre. Please help.

Yes with so much of other complications she cannot be operated they only can immovabalise the hip which can reduce the pain shd b given exs of foot and Quadriceps and medicine for other problems.

In such type of cases Patient is advised for skin traction bed rest for 3. Months along with physiotherapy. If bone not unite in such duration then it will goes to 4or5 or6 mths according to fracture healing. There are lots of patients which Are not operated due to lots of diseases but their fracture unite in 3_4monts. In such cases there is slight shortening of leg happen but can managed by modified footwear.
