Hello lybrate-user, greetings purpose of wearing sport shoes is to have a soft heel. As hard surface (heel) will aggravate the pain. Check if you are vit d deficient. In case of any deficiencies only physical therapy will not help you much. Even if the pain is gone it will recur. I hope that helps.

Hi 90% treatment is by foot wear modification, means soft shoes or insoles is better and mcr chappal. Try physio therapy to stretch you r foot muscles. Next step, persistent and not improving, steroid injection. Rarely surgery 1/100000.

Actually the only way is to remove the spur by surgery. If its small in size we can have some other ideas to remove it. If the size is increased its better to have a surgery.
