Whole grains are good for diabetics and also for non diabetes since they release the energy gradually to the body. These are also called complex carbohydrates. Whole grain atta, oats, ragi etc are considered complex carbs. Being a diabetic you should avoid fruit juices and sweets/ maida since they are simple carbs. To improve immunity take citrous fruits and lemon daily. Also eat fruits like Apple, guava, melon etc. Take 10 almonds everyday. Avoid Chavanprash since it has lot of sugar which is not good for you. Do 30 mins fast walk everyday to keep your health intact. It will be better if you consult a dietician who can help you with a proper diet chart.
