A swelling on the right side of your neck since 2 days of cold, is most likely, an enlarged lymph node. But to make sure it is harmless, consult your doctor.

Masturbation is perfectly normal in both genders. It helps release your stress and relaxes you a lot. Medically, it does not have any side effects provided you do it in moderation, other than the risk of embarrasement when you get caught in the act!!!. There's no rule about how many times you can do it per day. And no, masturbation does NOT have ant effect on your height, hair growth, eye sight or memory power.

Suffering from pricking pain on right breast here and there .also having pain near armpit that come and goes. Mostly pain on front part of breast. Am prior to periods and also breastfeeding.

As you have given your gender as "male" I assume you have asked this question on behalf of your wife. Also, you haven't mentioned her age. I assume she is young, as she is breastfeeding. Many women have a slight discomfort in their breasts, commonly during periods and less commonly, during breastfeeding. Some might have even pain. However, it is still worthwhile to consult a surgeon immediately.

I am 24 year old girl. Whenever I eat methi (fenugreek seeds) or bitter gourd or any bitter items, I start feeling shaky, dizzy and I start sweating. At such times, I will have sugar water and after 10 minutes I will become normal. My sugar levels will be normal whenever I check. So what problem is this? How to solve this problem?

I have seen some people with exactly the same symptoms as you. It is a known fact that methi and bitter gourd are hypoglycemic (ie, they reduce the blood sugars). But there is a problem. We cannot predict in whom they will work and how much they will work. Hence, the best course of action for you will be to minimise the intake of these food stuffs.

Not exactly... In fact, sex hormones do several jobs on fats... that of burning some fats, redistributing some other fats and also growing fat in certain regions. All sexually active women DON'T gain weight. Conversely, all sexually inactive women don't lose it.

Unfortnately, you are not likely to gain any more height, as you are already 23 years old. In any case, curd rice and milk won't help with gaining height.

Normally, the 2 testicles are NOT perfectly equal in size. One scrotal sac usually hangs down a bit more than the other even in normal people. If you want to make sure that you don't have a problem, consult a doctor in person.

From the limited info provided, there seems to be some infection spreading from your leg to your thigh. This is indeed unfortunate. If that is indeed the case, it is quite serious and needs emergency treatment. Whether to "remove" the leg (Surgical amputation) and at what level and when exactly to do it, depends on the treating doctor to decide, based on several factors. However, I must inform you that surgical amputation of a leg is a major surgery as it is irreversible and to be honest, decreases your life span considerably. Hence, a decision needs to be taken after seriously weighing all the options. Ideally, this decision should be taken by a team comprising of your treating physician, surgeon, vascular team, anesthesiologist, rehabilitation team, your family, etc.

I had a slip inside the house and my left toe was fractured along with sprain in the whole left feet and heel just one and half years back. I am treated by ortho doctor at Jayanagar ortho. Hospital with plaster for five weeks. After removing the plaster, left feet remained black with swelling and for nearly one year same thing continued. I am having diabetic and hypertension and taking tablets regularly. I was in a teaching profession and used stand for long hours and as such I developed arthritis and added to it the diabetes and bp have caused numbness in my feet, but it is more in my left leg foot after the fracture and post treatment. Still I am having pain in my heel and find paining after standing for long, but subside while walking. The ortho doctor after treatment took xray and told me the fracture is cleared completely. Pl advice me what is the remedy for my ortho problems.

I don't understand why a plaster (I assume Plaster of Paris. POP) was applied for a fracture of the toe. Usually, a closed (meaning the skin hasn't been breached) fracture of the toe, if undisplaced, is treated by a simple "Buddy strapping" Here, we just apply an adhesive plaster (NOT Plaster of Paris) to the affected toe along with its neighbour. We usually DON'T apply POP. I think the doctor applied POP for the sprain, to give it some rest. Nonetheless, I now recommend you meet a Diabetic Foot Surgeon immediately.

I am sorry to learn of your cousin's miscarriage. APLA stands for Anti Phospholipid Antibodies. They are seen in certain Auto immune diseases such as APLA syndrome & SLE. Medical science is still not clear about why it occurs in only some individuals. They develop antibodies without any obvious reason and it causes clotting of blood in the blood vessels. Miscarriage is a known feature of APLA syndrome. Treatment is difficult, but in some, Asprin or Heparin may help. You should consult a Rheumatologist. Wishing you all the best!
