This is indeed depression. It can be handled by either medicines or psychotherapy (advanced counseling) from an expert. You need to take a break and give more time for pleasurable activities and hobbies. Meet friends and relatives even though you may not feel like doing so. Sleep 7 hours at night, take green leafy vegetables in diet and drink plenty of water. Assuming you do not have family/ past history of bipolar disorder or any other major illnesses, in good faith the following medicines can be suggested. Start cap prodep 20 mg after breakfast for 5 days and then increase to 40 mg. In two to three weeks time there should be significant improvement. However, as these are medicines used for treating a medical condition, supervision/ consultation will be needed at some point of time. Take care!
