It is possible that a stressful event can temporarily elevate your blood pressure readings. Stress, anxiety, and other emotional factors can influence blood pressure levels. However, consistently elevated blood pressure readings, such as 130/100 mmhg, should not be ignored, especially if they persist over time. A blood pressure reading of 130/100 mmhg indicates stage 2 hypertension, which may require medical attention and lifestyle modifications. Hypertension, if left uncontrolled, can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other health complications. I would strongly recommend consulting with a healthcare professional, such as your primary care physician, who can evaluate your blood pressure readings, perform a comprehensive examination, and provide appropriate guidance and treatment options. They may suggest lifestyle changes, such as dietary modifications, regular exercise, stress management techniques, and potentially prescribe medication if necessary, to help manage and control your blood pressure effectively. It's important to monitor your blood pressure regularly, follow your healthcare professional's advice, and maintain a healthy lifestyle to promote overall cardiovascular health.
