Dear hyder, hypothyroidism is of many types. Autoimmune hypothyroidism requires permanent replacement but to prove we've to check for thyroid antibodies. At times the condition if mild and drug induced itcan reverse. But keep checking tsh regularly to diagnose recurrence.
