Hi doctor, I am a 31 years old male. I don't have any running medications but I need to take otc antacids sometimes. Last year I had covid vut the symptoms were mild. Now coming to the problems: I have observed that sometimes very small amount of blood comes from my saliva. Like the colour of saliva becomes brown. Not necessarily I can see every time blood, but bloody saliva I can see after the colour gets changed. I can also smell blood in my mouth or a bloody smell. This specially happen after brushing my teeth or after eating in the morning. I can also feel a burning pain in my left upper abdomen/stomach. This also started happening recently. When I am moving too much or coughing or laughing too much this happens. When I am eating nothing happens. Please note, I have an acidity problem from very long and sometimes I have unbearable burning in my chest or throat. I don't know if I have gerd but I have all along this acidity problem from very very small age. That is why I need to take antacids like pantoprazole etc. Also I have been rigorously coughing in the morning for last 3-4 years. Just to clear my throat. Please let me know if there is anything to worry about.
