lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Both hba1c% and fasting glucose level are very high, suggesting present treatment is not helping. As regards starting glibenclamide 5 mg, with metformin 1000 mg & pioglitazone 15 mg (once a day), plus vilda& metformin once, you may have to try for a few days and see. However, glibenclamide is an older compound. Aaj kal isaka upyog jyada nahi kiya jyata. Treatment sahi hai ya nahi ye aap ke result ke baad hi pata lagea. Lekin it is essential to look at your overall lifestyle (jeevan shaili). Because in diabetes dava ke saath aap ka khana, daily exercise aur vajn pe control in cheejon ko bhi dekhana padata hai. Jab glucose control me rahega tabb khali pet 100 mg se kam aur khane ke baad 150 se 160 mg & hba1c% < 6.5% aise rehana chahiye. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.

According to the treatment you are getting, I can see the effort of your doctor. I think you should consider taking insulin atleast for one time in a day to control it along with your medication. As you have hba1c of 10.8, it's good for your health to start insulin atleast once daily. Pls consult to your doctor about it or you can consult me online m.
