I'm diabetic patient for about 6 months now, I was advised by a doctor to take diapride plus 2 times a day, it's expensive for me, a friend brought me metformin 850 mg film coated tablets metformin hydrochloride please help me out thank you, can I use this substitute medicine brought by friend (metformin)? However, there is no mention of blood glucose levels (fasting & pp), hba1c%, your weight, height, dietary pattern and extent of daily exercise and lipid profile as well as bp readings. All these details are needed before any advise can be given. Action of glimiperide and metformin is different. The need for the patient depends on the severity of glucose levels. If you are looking for a less priced glimiperide then buy tablet k - glim 2 mg it is only 30 rs for 15 tablets. Most parts of india these tablets are available. Even you can look at generic version in those shops. Thanks.
