No they can not be substituted because diapride plus contains two medicines ie metformin and glimipiride while metformin 850 contains metformin only. Discuss with your doctor also.

However, there is no mention of blood glucose levels (fasting & pp), hba1c%, your weight, height, dietary pattern and extent of daily exercise and lipid profile as well as bp readings. All these details are needed before any advise can be given. Action of glimiperide and metformin is different. The need for the patient depends on the severity of glucose levels. If you are looking for a less priced glimiperide then buy tablet k - glim 2 mg it is only 30 rs for 15 tablets. Most parts of india these tablets are available.
