I want to ask for my father. He's 56 years old and 2 days back suffered from seizure thrice a day and then rushed to hospital. His ecg has been normal and mri says "mild diffuse cerebral atrophy" he has sugar from last 15-16 years which is genetically in our family. Doctors said there are risk of brain stroke. I want to know what treatment he needs to be given as I am not much satisfied by the treatment given to him because his sugar is fluctuating very much throughout the day after he returned from hospital.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. An iv injection of recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (tpa) ? also called alteplase (activase) ? is the gold standard treatment for ischemic stroke. An injection of tpa is usually given through a vein in the arm with the first three hours. Sometimes, tpa can be given up to 4.5 hours after stroke symptoms started. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
